New fun side project - Rat Rod Cruiser bike

her she is, my first rat rod cruiser bike. It is basically a pile of parts i've collected of of craigslist and garage sales. I'll post some real art soon, but I wanted to squeeze in one more custom project. technically, this bike will be an art bike.

2009 DIY electric drumkit

It took a few weekends to complete, but the new and improved DIY E-drums are done. Over the next couple of months I will probably up grade to a roland dual trigger mesh snare drum and a Yamaha dual trigger ride cymbal. The current setup sounds really good and even feels pretty solid when playing on it.

Alesis Trigger IO Drum module (USB powered drum brain)
MacBook Pro running BFD 2.0 (over 5 gigs of sampled percussion sounds)
DW practice pad drum kit converted to Electric drumset with Radio Shack 273-0073 sensors
2 Roland single trigger percussion pads
1 Yamaha Cymbal trigger
DW Bass drum pedal
Rockband2 bass drum pedal (works great as a hi-hat controller)

Quick painting made during my lunch break today. The underpainting is a photo of a corner in my cubicle at work. Then I used the Brusehs app to paint over it sampling the colors form the photograph.

After I added all the ships and started detailing them out, I realized that the sky was way too bright and happy to be filled with cannon fire. I'll probably fix it later this weekend.

I was in the middle of sketching an intense naval battle scene of british and pirate ships when I decided that I need to do a quick sketch at a larger scale. This is a ships silhouette referenced form three different images I found online. The naval battle is coming along good. I will have it done later today hopefully. It is at that point of either being really awesome or a complete mess. stay tuned!

The best part about using the pogo sketch stylus with the iphone is that you can make alot of little tiny dots that when zoomed out, actually look like something. In this case it didnt work out quite like I thought.

So, this sketch is the first one i've made using the Pogo stylus. The best part is that you can do really tiny details, the worst part is that it is very easy to go overboard with tiny little lines and dots.
