Tree Monsters
Just another Tree monster sketch I made on my iPhone using the BRUSHES app. This kind of reminds me of some of my earlier sketches I did back in 2005. I had a whole sketchbook full of everyday things converted into monsters. most as simple as adding eyes and goofy hands like these trees have.

These hills have eyes
Another quick little landscape painting. This time I tried a different approach and started with a background fill of bright orange and the toned it down to a smooth evening sky. I kind of like the little tree monsters. I'll probably sketch a bunch in my sketchbook before I post more of them on here using the iPhone app.

Portable Electric drumset (homemade) 2000
After a good 9 years of service, I decided to tear down the first electric drum kit I made. This was built back in 2000/2001 to bring with me to college. The idea was to save money and make a compact kit that I can quickly set up and start jamming. It also helped to have a small footprint and stow away under my bed when not in use.
All of the drums fit inside a standard utility suitcase that I picked up from Menards. I had two single zone Roland Drum heads and two roughly homemade drum heads. I mounted bolts to the top of the suitcase lid to hold two cymbal sensors. I also had a DIY bass drum pedal and a hi-hat controller that have gone missing in action over time.
check out the pictures i posted. It was a great little portable kit. I hope Yamaha or Roland make something like this one day.

Free - brushes weekly sketch
A friend on Flickr pointed out that the progression of the character reflects life in a way. I thought it was kind of cool how subconsciously it worked out that way.

Flickr Patchwork contribution (P5W1)
made for the Brushes patchwork group.
http://www.flickr.com/groups/brush-a-week/
This patchwork thing is a pretty cool idea. Each image submitted will have the same similar element. For this one its the red line that weaves through everyone's image. all images are made on the iPhone using the BRUSHES app.

self portrait - fire
This is a sketch done on my iPhone for the Flickr group BRUSHES - weekly assignment. I made a series of three sketches of my self with different elements coming from my hands (fire, electricity, and blood) I've been so busy lately that I felt that these three images best represented that.
